For example, it's better to read and ubderstand the textbook before the class in English Teaching Methodologies II class. If you not , it's too hard to understand the class. Sometimes, I didn't prepare for the class and I regreted that because I couldn't understand. I had achance to go to Nakano elementary school and to teach Englsh. Before we taught, we were all nervous but after the class we felt so nice!!
In English Teaching Methodologies class, we need to write a blog out of the class. First of all, I was at a loss how to do because I never done before. Any way, if you really want to be a teacher, you may need to have knowledge of PC, I think. We taught the guests English in the classroom. We also have to prepare for the lesson. Thanks of that, we could understand how we should teach English.

On the whole, you SHOULD prepare for the class, or you'll get nothing in the class.

Team Y's lesson

On the whole, the class went well, I tought.
It seemed to be easy for Mr. abdoreim to understand " This is Mark." etc because of reviwe of last week's lesson.," This is~. It was alot of fun, but he really confused the difference of meaning "he" and "she", "my"and "our". We didn't check the meaning of these words. In addition, perhaps he couldn't judge man or woman by the name, Tony, Mike, etc.
Except for that, the class seemed to be succeeded.

KMKM's Lesson

What I really admired was to announce the goal of the lesson. To announce the goal helps him and make relax.
I enjoyed the practice, but pronunciation practice wsn't enough, I thought. Mr.abdoreim couldn't pronounce and listen some of the number. Then, we introduced " This is~" "That is ~" by using short play. After that, practiced the phrases with all together, and each person as a line, then pair work. Finally, tried to thr hand-out as a consolidation.
Actually, we expected Mr. Abdoreim to notice just " This is~" and " That is ~" were used in the short play, then we wanted him to noticed the difference of "this" and "that" in the practice used the card, but he had already noticed the difference at the short play, that shook us.

I regreted I should say the phrases more slowly when everyone practiced the pronunciation after me. It might be too fast for Mr. Abdoreim. In addition we sould have cared the distance of the cards and people who practiced the phrases. That was the worst point, I thought. Particuarly, short play was very interesting. If all English classes in junior high school were like that lesson, most of students get to like English, I thought. Most of us laughed in loud voice. That might help shy student not to hesitate to speak. If an atmosphere of classroom is silent, it's difficult for shy student to speak, by comparison with noisy classroom.
Having a interest in English is the most important for student learning English. The English classes in Japan ussally put a stress on the grammer. That's why many students don't have a interest in English. DHC2's lesson made us happy in English class.

But, it might be difficult for the student to understand "Do you ~?" and "I have ~ " etc , because the instructions were all in English and there were no explanations about the grammer.

Should English teacher call on shy students?

I think it's better English teacher call on shy student. Probably, most of sutudents have some occasions that they must present something in front of many peple in the future. Actually, I have many such occasions since I enterd the university, so if the teacher leave shy student alone in the class, though he/she might be good temporarily, he/she will have a problem in the furure.I thougut in Japan we all are used to take class that teacher speak and the students just sit and listen to the teacher. In addition, you know, Japanese are the shy race in general. Today, the world is opened to each country, it maight be difficult for shy people to communicate with foreign people. How he/she can communicate with foreign people though he/she is shy even in Japan!
That' why I think it's better , but not should, English teacher call on shy student.English teacher need to understand and think " Why is he/she so shy?" "What do they hesitate?" " What is the best way for him/her?" and so on.If they have a bad experience because of shy, they might be become more shy!

Reflection on team T's Lesson

I could understand a whole class. The good point I think the most is Mr.Taku showed "Are you~?" "I'm~?" " Are you from~?" "I'm from~?" many times with gesture until ever sutudent could understand.Tomohiro and Toru also showed shot play many times. But after shot play, Tomoka asked " What is the situation is this shot play?", I wondered the freshman in junior high school can't undersatnd that English. And the pace of class might be a little bit too fast for freshman. We learned 5 phrases in 30~40 minutes. It seemed Mr. abdoreim couldn't understand easily. It's better the teacher check the student could understand each phrase evertime. Then, practice the phrases like this; the teacher showed the paper written some country such as China. Italy, and the students say " Are you from China?" " I'm from Italy." and so on. Today's practice was only repeating afer the teacher. do the same about other phrases, that may help the student to ubderstand.

Junior High School Grammer

Be verb( My name is ~. This is ~. Is this ~. etc) is easy for me at first, but I learned Regular verb next, I confused. What is the difference of two? I thougut, so I had used be verb in regular verb sentence many times. ( Are you play tennis? etc)
Also, Present progressive tence( be ~ing) and Expressing the future( be going to) are similar. Particularly, for example, "I am going to the scool. " and "I am going to go to the school " are very similar! Then I wondered "go" is used two times in a sentence. So, the teacher must pay attention to the sutudent not to confuse, though my English teacher didn't.Infinitive is also difficult, because its form looks same but meaning is different.

So I think the above grammer is difficult for me to teach as a teacher.I have confidence in teaching is Present Perfect Tense. The teacher ask "How much do they cost?" about the context of menu and the students answer the charge. That may help the students input the phrases.

My first Spanish class

1) Mr.hall introduced his family to us in Spanish with gestures. He taught who his mother is, who his father is and so on by drawing a genealogy. In adittion, he taught us how do we pronounce "mother" father" "wife" in Spanish by doing pronounciation practice. When we practiced, he signed with his arms.

2) At first, Ididn't know what Mr.hall doing, but, when he drew a genealogy, I got what he doing. I learned by pronouncing, watching his gestures and letters. His gestures helped to understand, though, I couldn't understand what he said.

3) I had never heard Spanish before, so, it was my first Spanish class. Spanish sounds strange to me. I met him at the junior high school of Iwate university.

2. This teacher was my favorite because he seemed to try to show his students the pleasure of Engish. He always tried to communicate with the students in Engilish.

3.
